| Witamy! Since 1890, the city of New Britain, Connecticut has been home to the largest Polish community in Connecticut with many considering its vibrant Broad Street neighborhood as the heart. Affectionately referred to as "Little Poland", the designation became official in 2008. Within the span of a few blocks, Little Poland boasts wonderful Polish restaurants, delis, cafes, European Day Spas and unique shops offering both American & Polish goods. Visitors can find the only contracted U.S. Post office in the nation with the words "Poczta" written outside its walls, both national and regional banks, travel agencies, a dance school, European jewelers, Polish newspapers & television, and even law firms that offer legal consultations entirely in Polish.
